Crosslines Grocery Loaders
Sign up for one or multiple dates, by yourself or with friends or family and help put food on the table for those in need in your community!
Volunteer Requirements:
- Be respectful and kind to the guests you assist.
- Arrive 15 minutes before the pantry opens and stay 15 - 20 minutes after depending on shoppers.
- Be able to lift full grocery bags into cars, and walk outside in the heat, cold, rain, snow, or beautiful weather.
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and repetitively.
Volunteer Details:
Volunteers receive completed client orders and load them in their vehicles at the drive-up door. Persons filling this role are also responsible for loading Senior CSFP boxes as those recipients arrive and need to verify a list for eligibility and check off when that recipient has received their box.
We are seeking individuals or small groups (2-4 people) to be present on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9 am to 2 pm to fill this role. Ideally, a person or group would come weekly on their chosen day to maintain consistency and limit the need for training new volunteers repeatedly. However, if a group cannot commit long-term, please still contact Bambie to discuss the opportunity.
