The Council of Churches wants to offer people a real person, a warm voice, and a quick connection to the program or person they need when they call.
Requirements:
- Navigate a simple phone transfer system.
- Sit for extended periods of time.
- Have a friendly demeanor.
- Commit to at least once a week for a 4 1/2 hour shift.
Volunteers will be in a phone room with up to 4 other people. When the call volume is low you can turn and visit, or you can bring a book if you are a little more introverted. Weekly shifts will be Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 12:30 and 12:30 - 4:30 pm. You can sign up for one or more shifts.
Our goal is to have a fully trained and staffed phone operating system by the end of February 2024. Come help us improve the phone experience at CCO!
